Leon Washington would not commit on Tuesday to showing up to Jets' training camp without a new contract. Washington is in the final year of his four-year rookie deal and scheduled to make $535,000 this season, but the Jets running back/kick returner insisted throughout a session with reporters that he would not sign without getting "fair market value." "Everything is still the same," Washington said today at the team's mandatory minicamp. "We are talking back-and-forth every now and then. It is a lengthy process but everything is the same. Hopefully, in the next couple of months before training camp we can get something done. I think it is important for me to be a part of this team before training camp."
