Jets owner Woody Johnson won't stand in the way if general manager Mike Tannenbaum wants to sign wide receiver Plaxico Burress. "We're going to look for talent where we can find it," Johnson said Saturday in an interview with the New York Daily News. "If a guy has committed a crime and is in jail, obviously we can't take him. We're committed to improving the team. "They don't need my permission. They'll talk to me, obviously. Mike has to make the final choice. I'll weigh in, like I do frequently, but it's his decision. It's all based on whether the individual can help the team or not."
