USC quarterback Mark Sanchez was coveted by a number of teams heading into the first round of this year's NFL Draft, and the Jets ultimately ended up trading up to the fifth pick to grab him. "Oh my God, yes," Sanchez said when learning of his new team, according to ESPN. "Thank you so much. You guys are the best. Thank you so much. This is a dream come true." The Jets were left without a true starting quarterback when Brett Favre retired yet again, and now Sanchez should immediately step in and supplant Kellen Clemens as their starter. "Joe Namath handled the pressure well and the people really loved him. I think when you win like that, that's the great equalizer and everybody loves a winner. That's what I'm used to at USC and that's what hopefully we can get accomplished here in New York," Sanchez said in a statement.
