Ronnie Brown Hopes To Remain With Dolphins

Oct 26, 2014 8:57 AM

Ronnie Brown wants to remain with the Dolphins, but does the team want to retain him? "I haven't given up hope," said Brown, whose contract with the Dolphins expires after this season. "I know there's a chance I won't be back here. You know, that's something I think about. It's tough because I've grown so attached to this community and this area." It is believed that Brown would sign a less lucrative deal to re-sign with the Dolphins. "I do have to go into it with an open mind, realizing it is a possibility," Brown said. "I have to prepare myself so that if I'm not here next year, I won't go into any kind of depression or anything."

Report: Chargers Could Franchise Jackson

Jul 13, 2014 3:58 PM

The San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting that the Chargers are thinking about placing their franchise tag on Vincent Jackson. There is almost no way they'll sign him to a long-term deal, but they'll consider the tag if it remains part of the NFL's next collective bargaining agreement. Jackson is reportedly seeking a five-year, $50 million deal. The Chargers view him as a risk because of his arrests for DUIs and driving with a suspended license. More off-field trouble could lead to a suspension by the league. He has played in just three games this season after a lengthy holdout. He has seven receptions for 141 yards and three touchdowns.
