By Buster Gunning In an effort to ?spice things up? in the NFL, Commissioner Paul Tagliabue is considering implementing an all-time quarterback rule. The rule is widely popular amongst youngsters playing pick-up football at the local school yard. Now, the National Football League is considering bringing this useful rule to the prime time in an effort to generate fan excitement while also saving money on quarterbacks ?We still have a few kinks to work out,? explained soon-to-be-ex-commissioner Paul Tagliabue. ?This will be the last major project I will spearhead as my supreme reign comes to an end.? Some critics have raised concerns about quarterback health and the fact that the spirit of competition may suffer if each team is forced to use the same quarterback. ?Yes, we are aware of the issues being raised with this new rule,? retorted Tagliabue. ?We are going to equip the lucky quarterbacks with extra padding to provide some much added protection. As far as the competitive aspects of the all-time quarterbacks, we trust they will play to win on both sides. You know, not play favorites.? Tagliabue added, ?We are also going to teach each quarterback to throw with both their right and left arms. That way, their arms will last longer.? This piece is dedicated to Brent ?Golden Arm?
