The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are expected to release Darrelle Revis if they are unable to trade him by Thursday.

Revis is owed a $1.5 million roster bonus on Thursday. Revis has $80 million and five seasons remaining on his deal, but none is guaranteed.

The Buccaneers traded for Revis last offseason, sending a first round pick and a third or fourth rounder rounder to the New York Jets.

Revis had a strong season coming back from a torn ACL, making the fifth Pro Bowl of his career.
