Josh Freeman is seeking a release from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Mark Dominik has called about one-third of the NFL teams about their potential interest in Freeman, but it has been described as miled.

The Buccaneers are expected to wait until at least the deadline before making a decision on Freeman in the hopes of a team losing a starting quarterback and needing him.

Freeman is owed $6.2 million over the remainder of the season.
