Eagles Swoop In, Sign Asomugha
The Eagles seemingly came out of nowhere to sign Nnamdi Asomugha as they eye a trip to the Super Bowl.

Unlike previous seasons, the national champion did not finish the season leading in the Trench Counter.

While Auburn proved beyond any doubt that they were the best team in the country during the 2010 season, several close victories prevented the Tigers from having a better showing in the Trench Counter.

The runner-up Oregon Ducks finished ahead of Auburn in the eighth position.

The top-four teams, Boise State, TCU, Ohio State and Stanford, all had just one loss and were victorious in their bowl game (three of which were BCS contests).

Northern Illinois had three losses, but were largely aided by a 71-3 win over Eastern Michigan, plus a big win over Fresno State in the Humanitarian Bowl.
