Winslow Receives Interest From Panthers, Raiders

Oct 2, 2014 7:05 PM

Kellen Winslow Jr. has received interest from the Carolina Panthers.

“I’ve heard from the Raiders, the Panthers, the Browns,” Winslow said. “I think I could fit in anywhere though. I’m a mismatch. I’m basically a basketball player playing tight end.”

The Cleveland Plain Dealer has disputed the notion that the Browns are interested in Winslow.

Winslow had one catch last season with the Patriots, but Tweeted on Monday that he will catch 100 balls in 2013.

Panthers Had $112M Profit Over Two Years As Owner Cried Poor

May 28, 2014 7:50 AM

The Carolina Panthers had a profit of $112 million in the years ending March 31, 2011 and March 31, 2012.

Owner Jerry Richardson was amongst the hardliners in urging his fellow owners to "take back our league" by demanding a more management-friendly collective-bargaining agreement.

Richardson argued that the NFL had a broken business model.

Over the first priod, the Panthers brought in an operating profit of $78.7 million despite a 2-14 record. Richardson and his partners paid themselves $12 million.

During the following year, the Panthers had an operating profit of $33.3 million.
