The Atlanta Falcons have signed Courtney Roby.

Roby (6-0, 189) did not play last season after being cut by New Orleans in training camp. Prior to that, he did little as a receiver, recording 21 of his 25 career catches in 2005 during his rookie season at Tennessee, where he was a third-round pick out of Indiana. 

Roby was most valuable as a kick returner, averaging 24.9 yards on 121 returns during his career. 

The Atlanta Falcons will be featured on HBO's 'Hard Knocks' this season.

The Falcons reportedly volunteered to be featured.

Atlanta will be looking to return to the playoffs after they had a difficult 2013.
