After a two-year suspension the NFL has reinstated Cincinnati linebacker Odell Thurman, according to ESPN.com's John Clayton. He missed the entire 2006 and 2007 seasons after violations to the NFL's substance abuse problem. "Odell has met the NFL's conditions for reinstatement and has been added to our offseason roster," Bengals' Head Coach Marvin Lewis said. "It is now up to Odell to continue to meet all NFL guidelines and to maintain a standard of personal responsibility that will allow him the chance to compete for a spot on our team."

Pacman Jones said Tuesday he?s delayed filing for reinstatement with the NFL until a possible trade is worked out, according to an Associated Press report. Jones told the Michael Irvin Show on ESPN Radio that he had planned to seek reinstatement but has changed his mind for now.

Cooper's suspension begins on Saturday, August 30. He is eligible to return to the Chargers? active roster on Monday, September 29 following the team?s September 28 game against the Oakland Raiders. I support the NFL?s anti-doping policies, and understand that I must serve a suspension even though the stimulant that I took was not used before any game and was not used to enhance my performance.
