The Giants are 8-1 and in the midst of another Super Bowl run but have decisions to make with Brandon Jacobs and Derrick Ward becoming free agents at the end of the season. Jacobs could command serious money if compared to the salaries of the other three starting running backs in the NFC East. Clinton Portis makes more than $8 million per year; Marion Barber gets more than $6 million per; and Brian Westbrook recently signed a three-year, $21 million extension. Ward, who is averaging 5.5 yards per carry, is also extremely valuable to New York. "You can only do what you can do right now," said Ward, who is on pace for 871 rushing yards as Jacobs' backup. "Everything will work out for itself."
