Raiders' head coach Tom Cable has reportedly taken over as the team's lead play-caller on offense.
Greg Knapp, the team's offensive coordinator, had been calling the Raiders' plays since the fourth week of the season.
"It wasn't really about play-calling," Cable said after the team's loss to the Panthers on Sunday. "It was our inability to stay out of those third-and-longs.
"...It's just too much to overcome," he said. "We're not there yet. So, we'll continue to go to work on it and keep working our tails off to score touchdowns."
