Texans' running back Ahman Green has agreed to restructure a part of his four-year contract to help the team save money this season, according to Houston Chronicle. The deal frees up $2 million in salary cap money for the Texans, reducing Green's 2008 salary from $3.8 million to $1.8 million. Negotiated by General Manager Rick Smith and agent Joby Branion, Green agreed to give up $2 million in base salary and a $500,000 bonus for a chance to make $3 million in per-game bonuses in the deal.
