Former Eagles and Bills cornerback Troy Vincent could be on the short list to replace recently-deceased NFLPA executive directer Gene Upshaw, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. General counsel Richard Berthelsen is currently the interim executive director. Vincent's four-year term as the NFLPA president ended in March, and it appeared that Upshaw and Vincent were not on the same page for a variety of reasons. "It's been no secret that this has been Troy's ambition for a while," a league agent said. "Gene made some strong statements about not planning to leave. I'm sure a number of people will want the position, but I think Troy will be high on the list of qualified people."
