The Steelers signed offensive tackle Max Starks to a one-year tender worth $6.895 million on Saturday, according to the Observer-Reporter.
The deal makes him the second highest-paid player on the team, behind only quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
He was Pittsburgh's number-three tackle last season, after starting in both 2005 and 2006.
