ESPN.com's John Clayton is reporting that the New England Patriots have lost strong safety Rodney Harrison for the remainder of the 2005 season after it was determined that he did have a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, an injury he suffered in Sunday?s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Harrison's injury is the latest setback to a New England secondary already battered at the cornerback position. This will mark the second consecutive season in which the Patriots will be forced to overcome injuries in the secondary and in which the team's mettle and ability to compensate for the loss of key players will be tested.
