Just as he's done in Philadelphia, Terrell Owens annoyed some teammates in San Francisco with selfish acts, stinging comments and petulant behavior during his eight seasons playing for the 49ers. A few of those ex-mates are hoping to get a hard hit on Owens when San Francisco (1-0) visits the Eagles (0-1) on Sunday. "I'd love to get a shot on him," linebacker Derek Smith said. "I'm sure every defensive player would love to get a shot on him, because he's a premier player. You get a shot on a premier player, it looks good." Owens isn't talking to reporters except for a weekly appearance on a Miami radio station, but Smith is certain the All-Pro wideout is planning another one of his flamboyant celebrations if he scores. "He probably gets in front of the mirror every day, [saying] 'This is what I'm going to do this week,' practicing," Smith said. Owens said Friday in his interview on Miami's 790 AM that he didn't know who Smith was. "I have no clue who that guy is," Owens said. "Is he one of the top 100 linebackers in the league? Who is that?"
