After a trying battle back from a left knee injury suffered in his 2002 rookie season, offensive lineman Marc Colombo has been released by the Chicago Bears and replaced by veteran lineman John St. Clair. But he dislocated his knee in his fifth start, and nerve damage made his recovery long, painful and ultimately unsuccessful in the eyes of the club.
