The Miami Dolphins placed punter Matt Turk on injured reserve Saturday because of a groin injury, and signed Donnie Jones off the practice squad to replace the 11-year veteran. Jones, who played for Dolphins coach Nick Saban at LSU, averaged 45.2 yards in five preseason games for Miami, which waived him Sept. 3 and signed him to the practice squad two days later. He played in six games with Seattle last season. Turk averaged 41.7 yards per punt last season for the Dolphins, just off his career average of 42.4 yards per kick.
