For the second time in two weeks, the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday placed a middle linebacker on injured reserve, prematurely ending the season of Caleb Miller, who has not played since suffering a back injury on Sept. 23. Miller, 27, becomes the fifth Cincinnati linebacker lost for the season to injury or suspension and joins Ahmad Brooks, Lemar Marshall, David Pollack and Odell Thurman on the sideline. All but Thurman, who is serving a second straight season-long suspension, are injured. Brooks, Thurman and Miller are all middle linebackers. To replace Miller on the roster, the snake-bitten Bengals claimed free agent linebacker Roy Manning, who was waived by the Jacksonville Jaguars and is joining his fifth NFL team in only three seasons in the league.
