Jim Sorgi will remain Peyton Manning's backup at least through the 2010 season. The Indianapolis Colts' No. 2 quarterback signed a three-year contract extension Saturday that will keep him off the free agent market at the end of the season. Sorgi would have been an unrestricted free agent. Matt Brei, Sorgi's agent, confirmed the extension but declined to reveal financial terms. Sorgi, 26, has worked as Manning's backup since the Colts selected him in the sixth round of the 2004 draft. He has appeared in 10 games and completed 59-of-90 passes (65.6 percent) for 619 yards with five touchdowns and one interception.
