As if they needed reinforcements, the undefeated New England Patriots have bolstered their league-leading defense by activating strong safety Rodney Harrison from the NFL roster-exempt list for Sunday's game with the Cleveland Browns. The 14th-year veteran was suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the season for his admissions that he purchased and used HGH, which is on the league's list of banned substances. Harrison, 34, returned to practice this week but did not immediately count against the New England roster because of the exemption. It is not clear yet if Harrison will start against the Browns, but the Patriots would not have rescinded the exemption if he was not going to play. Third-year veteran James Sanders has started the first four games at strong safety and played well.
