The Green Bay Packers have secured receiver Jayden Reed on a three-year extension worth $50.25 million, including $20 million guaranteed, agents Drew Rosenhaus and Ian Grutman told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday. The deal runs through 2029.
Reed, a second-round pick in 2023, was entering the final year of his rookie contract before the agreement was reached. The extension eliminates uncertainty about Green Bay's long-term plans at the receiver position.
The timing follows a significant reshaping of the Packers' receiving corps. Green Bay allowed Romeo Doubs to depart in free agency, signing a four-year, $68 million deal with New England in March, and traded Dontayvion Wicks to Philadelphia earlier this month for a fifth-round pick and a future sixth-rounder.
Reed's extension leaves Christian Watson as the other pressing contract priority. Watson, who carries an expiring deal after this season, led the NFL in yards per catch (17.5) over the final 10 weeks of 2025 following his return from a torn ACL. A new Watson deal could surpass Reed's figures given that production.
Reed, Golden and Watson are projected as Green Bay's top three receivers in 2026. Reed served as the team's leading pass-catcher in each of his first two seasons, totaling 119 receptions, 1,650 yards and 14 touchdowns before shoulder and foot injuries limited him to seven games in 2025.
"I know that's a play I've got to make, if I want to be a great player in this league," Reed said following a costly drop in Green Bay's wild-card loss to Chicago. "All I can do now is work."
