The Jets are not wavering in their refusal to negotiate a long-term deal with disgruntled defensive end John Abraham. Jets GM Terry Bradway speaking to WFAN radio on the field yesterday during practice, said, "The bottom line is, we want the same thing John wants. We want John to be here a long time. We want to be able to work out a long-term deal with John at some point ... We are committed to him." When reporters asked Bradway to elaborate on his comments immediately after his radio interview, the general manager said, "Nothing to report. I have no comment." Asked when Abraham might report to training camp, Bradway said, "I have no idea. Nothing new to report."
