There was no buzz generated at training camp after the lengthy statement Michael Strahan issued late Sunday night, and most veterans expect the star defensive end to arrive before long. No one knows if Strahan is serious about his retirement talk, but the consensus is that the 35-year old, 14-year veteran won't need more than a few weeks to get ready for the season. "He could walk in the week before, but everybody needs a little bit," linebacker Antonio Pierce said. "You need a week or two of training camp to get your legs out from under you." In his statement, Strahan urged fans to be patient with him while he wrestles with his decision and insisted that his holdout has nothing to do with trying to extract more money.
