Myles Jack had to contemplate his NFL future after the Pittsburgh Steelers released him in March.

The linebacker didn't garner attention from teams as quickly as he expected, but instead of considering a future in broadcasting or coaching he took a long look at entering trade school.

He mulled becoming an electrician or plumber.

"I like to work. I couldn't sit at home," Jack said. "I've been blessed to make a lot of money. I could retire and sit at the house. ... I want to be innovative. If a Zombie apocalypse came, I want to be able to build something."
