Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Wednesday that the club traded WR Dante Hall to the St. Louis Rams in exchange for a fifth-round draft choice (148th overall). In addition, the two clubs also exchanged positions in the third round, moving the Chiefs up in the third round to the 82nd overall selection. With the deal for Hall, Kansas City now has seven picks in the 2007 NFL Draft. The fifth-round pick obtained for Hall was originally acquired by the Rams from Buffalo. ?This trade allows us to get back to seven draft choices in the 2007 draft,? President Carl Peterson commented. ?We feel that it?s always important to have at least seven draft picks and, hopefully, we?ll be able to acquire another one or two in the days to come. Dante has been an outstanding performer both on the field and in the community. He?s been a very valuable player in this organization and a very productive one and we wish him the very best.?
