Doug Pederson claimed he was "coaching to win" in Sunday night's season finale against the Washington Football Team despite pulling Jalen Hurts for Nate Sudfeld late in a close game.

Pederson said the decision was his alone and wasn't influenced by the Philadelphia Eagles' front office. The Eagles will pick sixth this spring. Had they beat Washington, they'd have picked ninth.

"Nate has been here for four years, and I felt he deserved an opportunity to get some snaps," Pederson said.
