Al Michaels will not call Sunday's game on NBC between the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns after being unable to clear the COVID-19 protocols.

It is unclear if Michaels tested positive for the virus or is a close contact of another individual who is positive.

“I feel great,” Michaels told NFL Network. “I have no symptoms and my temperature this morning was 97.5. I look forward to returning to the booth as soon as possible.”

Michaels complained on air about having to wear a mask to call a game between the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles in October.
