The Cleveland Browns agreed to a four-year, $5 million contract with Charlie Frye, the fourth quarterback selected in the 2005 draft. "I'm real excited," said Frye, who played at Akron. "I can't wait to get in there. I've been a Cleveland Browns fan my whole life and this is a perfect situation for me." After passing for 11,478 yards in four years with the Zips, Frye was regarded as one of the top quarterbacks in last year's class. Some predicted he might go as high as the first round, but he fell to the Browns at No. 67 overall.
