Former and current members of the Seattle Seahawks say a growing rift developed amongst the team centered on the special treatment some felt was given to Russell Wilson.

One Seahawk describes the team as the “dynasty that never was” as some players have a lingering disdain for Wilson.

The Seahawks are restarting around Wilson following a series of moves this offseason.

Seattle released Richard Sherman and traded Michael Bennett while also being unwilling to meet the contract demands of Earl Thomas.

It was the management in Seattle deciding to “take the power back,” according to two departed Seahawks, with that notion confirmed by three other current or former players.

One former Seahawk says he and a handful of teammates speculated that Carroll judged Wilson too emotionally fragile to handle the criticism.
