Signed recently as a mentor to Eli Manning, the New York Giants recently agreed to an injury settlement with veteran quarterback Jim Miller. Miller recently had a surgery to repair a torn hip labrum. Miller, 34, gets to keep the $25,000 bonus he pocketed upon signing in early March and will receive payment by the Giants as part of the settlement based on how long he needs to rehabilitate following surgery. Apparently, Tom Coughlin did not want to wait several months for Miller to heal and was willing to jettison him after adding Hasselbeck to the mix. "He was treated very fair . . . more than fair," said Joe Linta, Miller's agent.
