Kansas City Chiefs? wide receiver Derrick Alexander signed a one-day contract with the team yesterday so he could retire a Chief. Alexander, who has not played football since 2002, when he played for the Minnesota Vikings, had 417 catches for 6,971 yards with 40 touchdowns and 16 rushes for 210 yards during his NFL career. Alexander played for the Chiefs from 1998-2001. In his tenure caught 213 passes for 3,685 yards with 19 TDs.
