The NFL remains fully committed to Thursday Night Football, but they will look into changing the scheduling procedures for the games.

Troy Vincent, NFL vice president of football operations, says the league wants to avoid having teams play on Sunday night before traveling to play on Thursday. Washington was in that position on Thanksgiving when they played on Thursday afternoon in Dallas.

Vincent said the league would also like to have teams playing in the early afternoon slot on Sunday before playing on Thursday whether they are on the road or not for the second game.
