NaVorro Bowman will miss the remainder of the 2016 season with an Achilles injury.

Bowman suffered the non-contact injury in the third quarter of Week 4.

Without Bowman, the 49ers have four inside linebackers on their roster: Michael Wilhoite, Nick Bellore, Shayne Skov and Gerald Hodges, who was benched Sunday after starting the first three games.

Bowman missed the entire 2014 season following his ACL tear in the NFC Championship Game.
