Jared Allen has announced his retirement from the NFL at the age of 33.

Allen was a fourth round pick out of Idaho State by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2004 and quickly became one of the NFL's best pass rushers.

Allen retires as a five-time Pro Bowler.

Allen signed with the Minnesota Vikings in 2008 and spent six of his best seasons there before joining the Chicago Bears. Allen's final game ends up being Super Bowl 50 with the Carolina Panthers.
