The Cleveland Browns have denied a report that the team originally had Teddy Bridgewater's name on their draft card with the No. 22 overall pick before switching it to Johnny Manziel in the final 10 seconds.

"I heard that story too, and it's beyond laughable," Mike Pettine said.

Browns spokesman Zak Gilbert said the report is "completely false" and that he was in the team's draft room when the club traded up from No. 26 to No. 22 to draft Manziel.

"That is not true," Gilbert said. "I was in the draft room. That didn't happen."
