Mike Shanahan was so displeased with the relationship between Robert Griffin III and Dan Snyder that he cleared out his office in advance of the Washington Redskins' playoff game last January against the Seattle Seahawks in the anticipation of leaving the franchise that offseason.

Shanahan changed his plans when Griffin injured his knee in the loss.

Shanahan believed Snyder empowered Griffin to make him feel bigger than the team. The issue has carried over into the offseason and this regular season.

A parting of the ways appears more likely this offseason.
