The New York Jets do not intend to release Tim Tebow before the NFL's new year begins in March, sources said.

The Jets hope to be able to trade Tebow, but the market is expected to be soft since some in the NFL expect him to need to change his position in order to regain relevancy.

"I can't imagine a scenario in which he'll be a Jacksonville Jaguar -- even if he's released," new Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said.
