Howie Roseman received an extension to remain general manager of the Philadelphia Eagles when Joe Banner stepped down as team president, according to a source.

Roseman's contract was extended for four or five additional seasons.

Owner Jeffrey Lurie has been highly complimentary of Roseman and has seemed to shift blame for any struggles of the Eagles on Andy Reid.

Roseman has been active in his first three seasons as GM. He has drafted a league-high 33 players over that time frame and has engineered 31 trades. Reid has had final say on football manners.
