Robert Griffin III suffered a concussion in the Washington Redskins' 24-17 loss to the Falcons.

Griffin was hit by Falcons' linebacker Sean Weatherspoon on a running play.

Griffin didn't know the score of the game or the quarter.

“We knew he had a mild concussion, at least according to the doctors. It feels good right now, a lot better right now,” Shanahan said after the game. “But that was the situation and why he didn’t go back into the game.” Griffin was sent home, not to a hospital.

"Thank you for all the prayers & support I'm ok and I think after all the testing I will play next week," wrote Griffin on Twitter.
