The San Francisco 49ers recorded a dominating 34-0 victory at the New York Jets to improve to 3-1.

The 49ers had a +26.4 advantage in The Trench Counter, averaging nearly twice as many yards per play, 17 more first downs while winning the turnover battle 4-0. San Francisco had a +25 edge in Total Rushes/Completions.

Alex Smith went 12-for-21 for 143 yards, while backup quarterback Colin Kaepernick scored the first touchdown of the game on a seven-yard run.

The 49ers rushed nine different players, combining for 245 yards and three touchdowns on 44 carries.

Carlos Rogers returned a Santonio Holmes fumble for a touchdown to begin the fourth quarter, extending the 49ers' lead to 24-0 and put the game seemingly out of reach.

Mark Sanchez went 13-for-29 for 103 yards as the Jets struggled to move the ball throughout the game.
