Andre Brown finished the New York Giants' Week 2 41-34 with 71 yards on 13 carries.

Brown entered the game with just two carries over three seasons.

"My role today? I was just thinking of going out there and making a play on special teams," Brown said. "And [coach Tom Coughlin] just came to me and said, 'Hey, you're up. So just go ahead and make this happen.' And I took advantage of the opportunity."

Brown had been in danger of being cut just over two weeks ago, but instead parted ways with D.J. Ware.
