The San Diego Chargers picked up where they left off in 2011, beating the Oakland Raiders on the road.

The Chargers, however, had a -3.7 differential in the Trench Counter. The Chargers averaged just 1.6 yards per rush and only had 15 first downs, relying on four field goals from Nate Kaeding.

Philip Rivers went 24-for-33 for 231 yards and one touchdown. The Chargers were unable to get their running game going with Ryan Mathews unavailable.

Carson Palmer went 32-for-46 for 297 yards and a late touchdown to Rod Streater. Darren McFadden was limited to 32 yards rushing on 15 carries, but caught 13 balls for 86 yards. McFadden was targeted 18 times by Palmer with the pass.
