Joe Banner will no longer serve as president of the Eagles, moving into the role of strategic adviser to owner Jeffrey Lurie. Banner and Lurie are lifelong friends and have worked together since Lurie bought the team in 1994. COO Don Smolenski will replace Banner as president and run the day-to-day operations, while general manager Howie Roseman will assume all of Banner's responsibilities in managing the team's salary cap and contract negotiations, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
