After completing a season that saw him shatter the franchise record for most receiving yards in a season, Victor Cruz has outplayed the contract he signed as an undrafted free agent from UMass in 2010. He is scheduled to earn $490,000 this coming season, the final year of his contract. The receiver wasn't comfortable answering questions about his contract but does acknowledge that he hopes to be compensated for leading the team in receiving with 82 receptions for 1,536 yards and nine touchdowns. "Honestly, with what I did this year, statistically and the records and everything like that, obviously I feel like just looking at the top players in the league and looking at what I did this year, I feel like naturally there should be an increase in pay," Cruz said.
