The Vikings have named Alan Williams as Defensive Coordinator and Brendan Daly as defensive line coach. Williams comes to the Vikings after 10 seasons with Indianapolis where he coached defensive backs and Daly returns to the Vikings where he coached from 2006-08 before moving to St. Louis as the Rams defensive line coach from 2009-11. “Alan and Brendan have both proved themselves as quality coaches in our League,” said Vikings Head Coach Leslie Frazier. “I had the chance to work directly with both men and can’t say enough about their character, work ethic and ability to connect with players and push them to be their best.” Williams and Frazier coached defense together with Indianapolis in 2005-06 and were part of the Colts’ Super Bowl XLI victory over Chicago.
