Fred Pagac has been relieved of his duties as defensive coordinator of the Vikings, but has been offered an opportunity to remain with the team as linebackers coach, according to a source. The defense fell to 21st in the NFL in total defense, 26th in pass defense and 11th in run defense, an area in which the team finished in the league's top two from 2005-09. The Vikings have interviewed Raheem Morris and Mel Tucker during the past two weeks. Mike Singletary is believed to be in the mix for the coordinator job.
