Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is interviewing Friday with the Jaguars for their open head coaching position, according to league sources. New York confirmed Monday during their end-of-year news conference that the Jaguars had asked permission to interview Schottenheimer, but Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum expressed optimism that Schottenheimer would be back in New York for a seventh season. Rex Ryan, however, called it a 50-50 chance and said he believes Schottenheimer will be a head coach at some point in his career.
